The Softest Kind of Magic. Laying flat in the grass, staring up at the sky until everything blurred soft and gold. Dandelions brushed against your arms while the afternoon sun warmed your skin. I used to pick armfuls of them, weaving crooked little crowns with sticky fingers stained by their milky sap. Every time I found one that had turned into a cloud of white seeds, I’d close my eyes, make a wish, and send it drifting into the wind like someone, somewhere, might be listening. I still like to think they were.
